RÖSLE Care & Maintenance Guide
How to care for your RÖSLE products
RÖSLE products are designed and manufactured to provide outstanding performance, durability and reliability. With the correct care and maintenance, your RÖSLE cookware, kitchen tools and accessories will continue to perform beautifully for many years.
Please follow the guidance below to ensure your products remain in the best possible condition.
Stainless Steel Products
RÖSLE stainless steel products are manufactured using high-quality materials designed for everyday use.
Cleaning
-
Allow products to cool before cleaning.
-
Wash with warm water and a mild washing-up liquid.
-
Use a soft cloth, sponge or non-abrasive cleaning pad.
-
Dry thoroughly after washing to maintain the appearance of the stainless steel.
For stubborn marks or water spots, a specialist stainless steel cleaner may be used.
Avoid
Do not use:
-
Steel wool or abrasive scourers;
-
Harsh bleach-based cleaners;
-
Oven cleaners;
-
Strong acidic cleaning products.
These may damage the surface finish.
Cookware Care
Before First Use
Before using your cookware for the first time:
-
Remove all packaging and labels.
-
Wash the product with warm soapy water.
-
Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Cooking Advice
For best results:
-
Use the correct size hob ring for your cookware.
-
Avoid overheating empty cookware.
-
Allow frozen or chilled ingredients to warm slightly before placing them into very hot cookware.
-
Use suitable utensils to protect the cooking surface.
Some stainless steel cookware may develop temporary discolouration or heat marks during use. This is normal and does not affect performance.
Preventing Food from Sticking
To reduce sticking:
-
Preheat the pan gradually.
-
Add oil or fat once the pan has reached the desired temperature.
-
Avoid moving food too early during cooking.
Non-Stick Surfaces
Where applicable, RÖSLE non-stick products require additional care.
Recommended Care
-
Use low to medium heat wherever possible.
-
Use wooden, silicone or heat-resistant plastic utensils.
-
Clean using warm water and mild detergent.
-
Allow cookware to cool before washing.
Avoid
Do not:
-
Use metal utensils;
-
Cut food directly on the cooking surface;
-
Use abrasive cleaning products;
-
Overheat an empty pan.
Damage caused by misuse, overheating or unsuitable utensils is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Knives and Bladed Products
RÖSLE knives are precision-made and require appropriate care to maintain sharpness and performance.
Cleaning
-
Hand washing is recommended.
-
Wash with warm water and mild detergent.
-
Dry immediately after cleaning.
Although some knives may be dishwasher safe, repeated dishwasher use can reduce blade performance and may affect the finish over time.
Knife Storage
To protect the blade and maintain sharpness:
-
Store knives safely in a knife block, drawer insert or protective cover.
-
Avoid storing knives loose in drawers where blades may be damaged.
Sharpening
Regular sharpening helps maintain cutting performance.
Use an appropriate sharpening tool and follow the manufacturer's guidance.
Wooden Components
Some RÖSLE products may include wooden handles or components.
To maintain wooden parts:
-
Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
-
Dry immediately.
-
Do not soak in water.
-
Do not place wooden components in a dishwasher unless specifically stated as dishwasher safe.
Natural wood may vary in colour and grain. This is a characteristic of genuine wood products.
Dishwasher Use
Where a product is marked as dishwasher safe, it may be cleaned in a dishwasher.
However, for maximum lifespan and appearance, hand washing is often recommended, particularly for:
-
Sharp knives;
-
Products containing wood;
-
High-polish stainless steel finishes.
Always follow any product-specific care instructions supplied with your item.
Barbecue and Outdoor Products
For RÖSLE barbecue products:
-
Clean cooking surfaces after use.
-
Remove food residue once the grill has cooled.
-
Store outdoor products in a dry location where possible.
-
Use protective covers where recommended.
Avoid leaving products exposed to prolonged moisture or extreme weather conditions.
Removing Discolouration
Heat marks, rainbow colouring or mineral deposits can occur on stainless steel during normal use.
These can often be removed by:
-
Using a stainless steel cleaner;
-
Applying a mixture of vinegar and water;
-
Cleaning with a soft cloth.
These marks are cosmetic and do not indicate a product fault.
